      Verdict

      BOUGGLER is a smart staying hurdler and duly landed the odds on his chasing debut at Plumpton back in November. He ran as though needing the run, but recorded a decent round of jumping all the same and can put that experience to good use in this better company. The Minack is also useful over hurdles but chasing is likely to be his game and he has to come into the reckoning on his debut over the larger obstacles. Straw Bear, who finished third at Fontwell yesterday, has yet to shine in six starts over fences so far but Rougham went close over 2m last time and could figure.
