In depth

Verdict

PINK GIN is a stout stayer who was second over course and distance last season when 3lb higher. He didn’t enjoy heavy going at Lingfield last month after a promising reappearance on good ground at Exeter and could be the pick of the weights in this. Max Forte hasn’t taken to fences while Lex Talionis disappointed at Ffos Las after a second at Taunton but Newcastle third Cesar Et Rosalie is worth considering and November’s Plumpton winner Cheque En Blanc still has scope. Braventara should enjoy the switch to chasing while San Satiro is two from two around here but did unseat on his only previous try over fences. Course winner Lizzie Langton has shot up the weights and seems hard to catch right.
