MASTER OVERSEER is clearly the one that they all have to beat and he can prove too strong for Skipper's Lad and Wizard Of Edge. The selection has had 11 days to recover from his exertions at Towcester where he earned himself a hefty rise for his bloodless success. That was a vast improvement on everything that had gone before so it remains to be seen whether it was just a flash in the pan but he'll be hard to beat if running up to that level. He does have a penalty to carry in a stronger race but he's due to race from a 10lb higher mark in future and could be on the upgrade. Triggernometry slammed Terrible Tenant here in April but has run poorly twice since whilst Seamus Mullins' runner made a satisfactory return over an inadequate trip and should fare better now. Skipper's Lad has been the very model of consistency and looks sure to run his race but there are some interesting alternatives. Alexanderthegreat has dropped to a great mark, Gatien Du Tertre is unexposed for this yard and may improve whilst Wizard Of Edge is something of a course specialist and has won for this jockey. There are alternatives to Master Overseer who's likely to be short enough but it was hard not to be impressed by his latest performance and he's taken to follow up.
