This is a wide open bumper and with not much form to go on the market will provide plenty of clues, but the newcomer Gansey might be up to taking this with Blue Teal and West Ridge also shortlisted. The selection looks the part on breeding and although West Ridge should give him plenty to think about, the Paul Nicholls yard do have a form line on West Ridge as he beat another well-regarded runner from their stable in King Caine last time. If the market vibes are positive for Gansey then it should pay to take the hint. Blue Teal looks to be going the right way as he put in a much improved effort last time when chasing home Appleaday at Ludlow. However, he may be better on slightly more testing ground and we will take him on today. Wise Men Say won well last time and is another to factor in to calculations, but Gansey is an interesting newcomer and he gets the nod to make a winning racecourse debut.
