In The Deep won an Oakland maiden in March but hasn't shown much in two subsequent starts. WHISKEY FACTOR, from a top trainer/jockey combination, dropped into this company for the first time last month and stayed on strongly after taking the lead before the stretch. He can go in again though Shell Fire generally performs in better grade and made a fair track debut when third last month so looks the main threat. Swashbuckler landed a similar race here in March but ran poorly on a return visit a month later.
