In depth

Verdict

Artiste Bay has been steadily dropping in the weights but probably needs further while point-to-pointer Bumble Beet looks high enough on his handicap debut. The many supporters of OLD HALL soon knew their fate here last time as he came to grief at the fifth. He had looked a progressive type when beating a big field at Tipperary earlier and can gain compensation. Captain Knock ran his best race to date over fences when a close third behind Amy's Song at Ballinrobe and is one to note as is Major Decision, who was having his first start since December when a decent fourth to King High at Tramore.
