Aidan O'Brien has won this a couple of times in recent years and will be expecting MONTE CARLO to keep up the good work. The son of Montjeu is unlikely to be high in the pecking order at Ballydoyle judging by his defeat at Galway but he's likely to have come on for that run, his first since November, and should be good enough. Winning bumper Clonbur found 1m2f too short at the Curragh last time and this doesn't look far enough nor does it for winning hurdler Mind The Steps but Mutasharef has shown plenty of promise on both starts and looks certain to get involved. Templeton looks the main threat as he was the subject of much speculation at Tramore where he wasn't given the hardest of times and lost out by a short-head to Haleniya. With a more vigorous ride likely, he should be in the shake-up.
