Why Not Thistle started off over hurdles and ran well in strong maidens at Punchestown and Leopardstown. She looked a bit one-paced on testing ground in a Thurles bumper so today's better conditions should bring out the best in her. Allez Gold wasn't beaten far in that latter event on her racecourse debut so it would be no surprise to see her reverse the form. Spirit Of Afection was well beaten when runner-up at Gowran but should improve and recent point-to-point winners Triplets Joy and Mystic Lass can't be ignored. TAYLORS STORM has a fine pedigree for jumping but like all of Willie Mullins' bumpers she'll be ready to do herself justice and, as this isn't the most difficult of tasks, is taken to make a successful debut.
