Verdict

An exceptionally tough maiden to unravel. Beabus Jack was in touch and still travelling well enough when running out before two out at Clonmel and will have his supporters. Hawk Flight has some very strong form over the minimum trip and has scored over 1m6f on the Flat so should have few problems lasting out here. TEPALO, a bumper winner in France, made a very promising debut for Tony Martin at Perth where he wasn't beaten far despite being badly impeded. He'll have come on for the run and can progress enough to take this. Ontheground hasn't been beaten far in his last two starts over two miles but it's a guessing game whether he stays this far on the prevailing ground so Realt Den Chathair looks the main threat as he's been in excellent form in bumpers and on his hurdling bow at Downpatrick where he was narrowly beaten in a three-way finish.
