Alan Swinbank's Sedgefield winner Go On Be A Lady is bound to be popular with many backers but it is never easy to win bumpers under penalties and, while Young Buddy has shown a decent level of form, it is the newcomer APACHE BLUE that may be worth chancing and he gets the vote. Howard Johnson's gelding is bred to be useful being a son of Presenting out of a Brief Truce mare and, coming form a yard more than capable of getting a runner ready first time up in this grade, he may be worth siding with. Knight Woodsman was well held on his debut, while a market move for Fridaythorpe would be of interest but he is probably best watched first time out. Paul Murphy's Borderhopper did not step up from a promising debut effort at Haydock in a better race at Ascot last time but may do better in this company, while Young Buddy has to be strongly considered having shown a decent level of form in both starts so far. He looks the main threat to Apache Blue who gets the verdict on his debut.
