In depth

Verdict

A very poor turn-out for this bumper and it should be a walk in the park for American Cricket, who is taken to lead home Bobby Bullock and Lady Rocket. Carl Llewellyn's six-year-old earned a hard fought victory on his debut at Hereford, getting the better of Henrietta Knight's Quarry Town. The front two pulled well clear of the remainder and although the runner up disappointed last time, it did look a much stronger race than this and a follow up looks on the cards. Bobby Bullock, a son of Old Vic, looks the pick of the two newcomers, but keep a check on the market. Lady Rocket needs to step up on what she has shown so far, but does have a fitness on her side. With this sort of opposition it shouldn't be too much of a problem for American Cricket to make it back to back victories.
