In depth

Verdict

Ueueteotl probably has the best recent form having finished less than four lengths behind winner Scarlet Fire over 2m4f at Carlisle earlier this month, though the drop back in distance may not be in his favour. Firth Of The Clyde didn't appear to stay a longer trip when favourite at Newcastle last time, however, and should be a threat here while Discovery Bay managed a couple of wins on the Polytrack on the level, though was well beaten on his hurdles bow. Mick Easterby appears to have his string in good order and SPECIAL MIX showed promise at Sedgefield last month. He may represent a bit of value in this opener.
