Manbow had a good season last term and Micky Hammond's gelding looks plenty high enough in the weights now judged by his reappearance effort at Haydock last month so preference is for Tom Fruit, who gets the vote ahead of Sharp Belline. The last mentioned has gone up 10lbs for his defeat of Chancers Dante at Kelso earlier this month and that looks harsh in the extreme, while top weight Kerry Lads may just need his first start of the season. Harrovian was very consistent last season but could do with some help from the handicapper and of more interest may be Imperial Dream, who should strip fitter for his return here two weeks ago. Kidithou has give little sign of encouragement this term, while Green Ideal has never been one to trust implicitly although did at least win a couple of races last backend. Ferdy Murphy's gelding is unproven over this trip though and a safer option looks to be Tom Fruit, who should come on for his recent return and remains feasibly well treated.
