Verdict

The two last time out winners in the field, Gottabe and Early Dawn both have plenty to find at the weights here and this looks to be a straight fight between likely short-priced favourite Harvis and the back-to-form The Negotiator. Harvis was looking dangerous when taking a tumble at Perth last week and will be backed to gain quick compensation being the clear pick of the weights. A heavy fall is a heavy fall though and that might just have dented his confidence and the Wetherby fences take a deal of jumping. The Negotiator is the selection, and if able to reproduce his short-head second to the classy Europa at Perth last time must have every chance.
