Verdict

CORNERSTONE LAD had his big day when beating Buveur D‘Air in the 2019 Fighting Fifth but his last victory was over 1m7f here in January last year. He is now 20lb lower and can get back to winning ways. Baron De Midleton‘s two victories in the spring came in very small fields but Erne River has won around here and a recent pipe-opener at Aintree will have blown the cobwebs away. Ubetya won at Cartmel in May and was tackling much stronger company when beaten there in July while Lets Go To Vegas is making her chasing debut but started out between the flags and with two victories over timber from four starts looks a nice chasing prospect.
