Connections will be disappointed that Nefyn Bay has been raised 9lb for landing a novices' handicap at Doncaster, though James Cowley's claim takes care of most of the extra. He'll improve again and has to be on the short-list along with Amtired, who just failed to hold off Deny at Catterick. But it's HONOURABLE GENT (NAP) who looks the one to be on as he was having his first start in over a year when falling while in the lead at Musselburgh last month. His previous run resulted in an easy victory at Newcastle so he looks progressive and Craig Nichol can steer him home. Mad For Road has never won over hurdles but is getting closer and is another to consider.
