Verdict

If earlier races went to plan, BLAKEMOUNT can crown a successful day for Sue Smith. The point-to-point winner made an encouraging start to hurdling with a third to the progressive Milan Bound at Carlisle and can open his account in this company. King Kurt ran well for a long way at Perth on only his second start over timber while French Canadian has been placed in hunter chases and makes his debut over hurdles. Jokers And Rogues could finish closer today and point-to-point winner Sir Mangan may prove best of the remainder.
