    Verdict

A competitive race in which Turn of Phrase is tipped to land his third success at the course. Richard Fahey's four-year-old certainly knows his way around here and should be fit following a couple of fair efforts on the flat during the summer. Bolshoi Ballet showed at Haydock that he could handle fast as well as soft conditions and he comprehensively out pointed Saspy's Lad and a number of fair rivals at the Merseyside track two weeks ago. Off a handy racing weight, there is every chance that John Mackie's charge will be in the shake-up come the finish. Talarive has been bitterly disappointing following a juvenile career of some account. Konker may be a much more realistic danger now that the handicapper is giving him some respite. Always Rainbows was toyed with by Rhinestone Cowboy at the track last term and is probably better with more cut in the ground. They do say however that its "horses for courses" and Turn Of Phrase fits the bill on this occasion.
