In depth

Verdict

Brought down in the Grade 3 Fred Winter at Cheltenham in March, Goodwood Mirage has a recent pipe-opener on the Flat under his belt. He's likely to prove popular for powerful connections but FUJIN DANCER may prove better value. Harriet Bethell's charge ran well for fifth in a Class 2 event at Stratford last month and should be bang there at the finish with a similar effort. Oliver's Gold was beaten only a length at Sedgefield recently and may have the edge on the returning pair Shadows Lengthen and Secrete Stream. Getabuzz would prefer softer going and Dark Dune has something to prove this season, 13lb higher than his win at Sedgefield in March. Earls Quarter may prove sharper than Fair Loch having had a run on the level a fortnight ago and could go well.
