    Verdict

A small field once again where Nandoo can get the better of Dark Shadows and El Cordobes. Micky Hammond's filly lost nothing in defeat when going down to the highly thought of Zibeline at Sedgefield last time, after landing a debut victory at the same track three weeks earlier. Dark Shadows though will not go down without a fight if he can reproduce his form from the spring when a gallant runner up to Overstrand at Perth. El Cordobes looks to be the only other one in with any sort of chance, that's if his return to hurdling rekindles his enthusiasm after some dire efforts over the larger obstacles. So a pretty moderate affair in which Nandoo is the pick of the bunch, with Dark Shadows the main danger.
