In depth

Verdict

Olly Murphy and Brian Hughes look a formidable combination and JETAWAY JOEY will be a warm order after the Fontwell bumper winner chased home the favourite Castle Robin on his hurdling bow at Carlisle last month. Poldark Cross has a fine pedigree for jumping and was an impressive winner of a point at Ballybragget in March so new connections could have got him cheaply at £30,000. Fern Hill couldn't live with the front two over 2m at Uttoxeter and should be better suited by this trip while Mill Race King, who won between the flags at The Pigeons in October 2018, makes a belated debut for Tim Easterby.
