Mark Tompkins doesn't have many winners over the jumps so Astroleo is watched on jumps debut whilst Mannered showed little in two bumpers to justify support. Bumper winner Ceasar's Return has disappointed in two starts over timber with similar sentiments applicable to Irish point-to-point winner Lackamon. Montoya's Son won at Hexham in May but was a long way behind Time Machine last month at Perth in a similar affair. BAVARD COURT makes a first appearance for Tim Vaughan after moving from Michael Hourigan and with a couple of solid efforts over this sort of trip at Sligo and Listowel then he is taken to improve and take this race. Icy Colt is relatively unexposed and could progress but Knar Mardy could be the biggest danger having recorded a back-to-back double here in May and June. She has shown nothing in three subsequent starts though so there may be more to like about excellent pointer Eliza Doalott.
