Just Cameron won this a year ago having finished third over the course and distance at the Christmas meeting. This time he comes with a victory in that same race to his credit and is surprisingly on a 1lb lower mark than a year ago so looks certain to make a bold bid to complete a double. BUN DORAN (NAP) started favourite when third in the Grade 3 Red Run Handicap at Aintree in April and again when runner-up on his reappearance at Cheltenham last month. This doesn't look as tough and he can recoup losses. Dual hurdles winner Positively Dylan hasn't done enough in three starts over fences to suggest he could win this while Kayf Blanco has been well beaten in lower grade in his last two starts and Zarib is usually let down by his jumping.
Just Cameron 10-1 (11-12) Chased leaders, ridden to challenge 2 out, every chance last, ridden to lead final 75 yards, stayed on well (1 fence omitted), won at Wetherby 1m 7f hcp (2) sft in Dec beating Duke Of Navan (11-9) by 1 3/4l, 6 ran.
Bun Doran (IRE) 3-1fav (10-6) Held up, headway 9th, strong challenge when hit 2 out, soon ridden, edged right and held flat, kept on, 2nd of 7, 1 1/4l behind Gino Trail (10-12) at Cheltenham 2m hcp (2) sft in Dec.
Positively Dylan 7-1 (11-8) Tracked leaders, blundered and unseated rider 5th, at Haydock 2m hcp (3) hvy in Dec.
Kayf Blanco 13-2 (11-0) Chased leaders, effort approaching 2 out, soon weakened, 3rd of 4, 29l behind Rather Be (11-0) at Towcester 2m (3) gs in Dec.
Zarib (IRE) 7-1 (11-4) Close up in rear, left 4th at 12th, ridden and no impression from next, 4th of 5, 33l behind Caraline (10-2) at Wetherby 2m 3f hcp (3) sft in Dec.
