Verdict
This has attracted a huge field and a few arrive in decent form. Arctic Wings ended a long losing run at Newbury last time under Josh Hamer but the quicker ground here is a concern, though he has been placed over course and distance in the past. Royal Deal has claims on last month's second at Kelso while Newbury fifth Iron Chancellor has travelled up from Wiltshire. Green Wizard and Ben Cee Pee M are others to consider and Lord Luso kept on well for pressure at Sedgefield last week and should be winning soon. But the vote goes to the lightly-weighted MRS EFF, who won a conditionals' race at Newcastle 11 day ago and has avoided a penalty. With Adam Nicol taking off a further 7lb, Phil Kirby's mare must take all the beating.
