Verdict

Ain't My Fault was caught in the dying strides by Ubaltique at Kelso and is only a pound better off. But Lucinda Russell’s six-year-old has more scope than Donald McCain’s veteran. Ballyvic Boru won here in October but couldn’t cope with a 7lb rise at Ayr. CHARMANT (NAP) ran well for a long way on his return to action at Aintree and will strip fitter here. He won three times in his first season over fences and can get back on track ahead of the disappointing Nuts Well. Demi Sang was an encouraging third over 2m4f here last month before being pulled up in the BetVictor Gold Cup but the drop in distance may not suit.
