It's two years since Indian Brave completed a double at Newbury so he may just lack sharpness for this. Buster Valentino has been running well but has now been beaten three times off this mark so SEVEN NO TRUMPS (NAP) looks the one to be on. Dan Skelton's charge looked one to follow when scoring easily at Lingfield and though well beaten into third from 9lb higher at Market Rasen is better than that.
Buster Valentine (IRE) 7-4fav (11-12) Led, headed 3rd, tracked leaders, led again 10th, joined 4 out, ridden and headed last, kept on one pace, 2nd of 6, 4 3/4l behind Seemingly So (10-0) at Musselburgh 3m hcp (3) sft in Feb.
Charmant (FR) 16-1 (11-5) Chased leaders, lost place before 9th, soon well behind, pulled up before 4 out, at Wetherby 1m 7f hcp (3) sft in Feb.
Seven No Trumps (IRE) 9-4fav (11-7) Tracked leaders, ridden and outpaced before 3 out, made no impression, 3rd of 7, 17 1/4l behind Bobhopeornohope (11-6) at Market Rasen 2m 5f hcp (3) sft in Dec.
Indian Brave (IRE) 6-1 (11-9) Raced keenly, held up in last pair, dropped to rear 10th, headway before 3 out, 2nd after 3 out, stayed on to lead run-in, won at Newbury 2m 6f hcp (4) sft in Feb beating Pres (11-0) by 3/4l, 7 ran.
Frimeur De Lancray (FR) 10-3fav (12-1) Jumped left at times, towards rear, dropped to last at 11th, never on terms, 6th of 9, 18 1/2l behind Dawn Raider (10-3) at Carlisle 2m 4f hcp (4) hvy in Feb.
