In depth

Verdict

Grand Turina followed up a victory at Lingfield with an even more impressive success off today’s mark at Warwick. He’ll be fancied to complete the hat-trick but has been ridden by a 10lb claimer recently and won’t offer much in the way of value. Geryville has twice run well here since joining Micky Hammond’s yard and this intermediate distance should suit but that latter comment also applies to the less-exposed COOPER’S CROSS (NAP). Stuart Coltherd’s seven-year-old was foiled by the rallying Winds Of Fire at Newcastle after scoring at Sedgefield but travelled best for much of that trip and drops back a couple of furlongs for this. Guetapan Collonges looks the pick of the remainder.
