Mango Chutney has a fine record here and does his best on sharp tracks. He dropped into Class 5 company to score at Thirsk and this is a bit tougher from 4lb higher, though he'd only just been beaten in this grade on his previous start here. Sultan Baybars has only won once and that was on the all-weather though he's generally performed in better company and is well handicapped at his best. Inner Circle has only won once in 16 starts and that was as a two-year-old but he's been placed in several strong handicaps so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him double his tally. THOMAS CRANMER lost his way a bit with Mark Johnston but slipped to a fair mark as a consequence and made a promising start for Tina Jackson at Thirsk so gets the vote in a tight handicap.
