    Verdict

Mister McGoldrick, Royal Emperor and Mouseski look the three to concentrate on in this competitive handicap chase and the vote goes to the course specialist Mister McGoldrick. The selection has been in the form of his life of late and was a good second when switched back to hurdles behind Inglis Drever the pair clear in a good race at Haydock last time out. He returns to chasing here and with conditions in his favour he is taken to win again. His stable companion rates the main danger on his best chasing form but he has become very disappointing of late. However he showed sings of as revival when switched back to hurdles when second behind Blue Canyon on his latest run. If he can reproduce that effort back over the larger obstacles here he will not be far away but at likely odds he looks worth taking on. Mouseski was a fair second behind Island Faith last time and is sure to appreciate the return to this longer trip but his over all profile leaves him with a little to find. Of the remainder National winner Amberleigh House is better over a longer trip while Deep Water has yet to win over a distance this far and for the winner we return to Mister McGoldrick.
