Notebooks at the ready for this race, where we have the bare minimum to go on, and we will suggest Barton Belle if you must have a bet, with Asrar and She's Humble best of those to have racecourse experience. The selection is based largely on Alan Swinbank's record in these contests, which stands close inspection, while with Sadler's Wells in the pedigree, the filly should be capable of handling the cut, and so we will chance her. Asrar comes from an in-form yard and handled cut well enough when making a pleasing debut at Ayr in November. Having been given time to recover, she can improve here, though she will need to to get in front of She's Humble. David Evans's filly was fourth of 19 on good to soft at Newbury on debut, form which looks a little better than Asrar's race, and of those with racecourse experience, she looks the one to beat. But Barton Belle has the right credentials for this sort of contest and we'll take her to score.
