Verdict

SIMONSIDE makes a swift reappearance under a penalty after causing a 33/1 upset at Aintree last Sunday. He would probably prefer a slightly softer surface but there seems no reason why he won't go close again. Trip The Light travelled strongly at Stratford last week but didn't find as much as expected off the bridle and had to settle for second behind Harry Hunt. This looks a bit more competitive and River Dragon also has more to do than when winning at Hexham last month and he's finished tailed off on the Flat since. Jetnova wouldn't be without a chance if fully wound-up and a similar remark applies to Bar De Ligne while Willow's Saviour should be winning soon. But Rock Relief probably needs further help from the handicapper if he's to get his head back in front.
