In depth

Verdict

BALTIMORE ROCK looks the one to beat in the closing event. He scored by five lengths on his racecourse debut at Bangor and normal progress can see David Pipe's four-year-old follow up under a penalty. Captain Clayton wasn't disgraced when fourth at Musselburgh last time and he's preferred to the remainder with experience. Richard Fahey's newcomer Dakar Run is a half-brother to a couple of winners on the Flat and Zayfire Aramis is from the family of the useful Kayf Aramis but If You Wish is related to a host of winners including hurdle and chase winner Take A Mile and could prove best of the debutants.
