Verdict

FLEMENSON made a winning start over hurdles at Uttoxeter but was beaten a length at Exeter on his latest outing. However, he still finished well ahead of a subsequent winner so the form looks better in hindsight and Jonjo O'Neill's charge gets the vote. Sir Mangan should make a race of it having scored easily in testing ground at Sedgefield and has plenty in hand on official ratings with last month's Newcastle winner Total Assets. The rest have shown little so far and make no appeal.
