In depth

Verdict

Some promising fillies and mares face the starter in this. Definitelyanoscar has already won a point-to-point and a bumper and was close up when falling on her hurdles bow. She was then second to a nice prospect at Ludlow but did hang under pressure. Dissavril didn’t find much off the bridle when favourite at Southwell but Emma Lavelle’s grey did win a Listed bumper last season and her yard is in better form now. Getaway Honey, another to have won between the flags before landing a bumper, is also interesting and makes more appeal than Ludlow third Annie Bonny but BARBADOS BLUE won her bumper here by 15 lengths and should be even better over hurdles. A daughter of NH sire Getway, she’s a half-sister to the useful More Buck’s and looks to have a bright future.
