JECZMIEN had to be ridden right out in the end to beat Karalaska by half-a-length at Folkestone but Nick Gifford's eight-year-old was probably idling a little in front having given a bold display of jumping. The 7lb penalty will make life tougher here but it would be no surprise to see him post a successful follow up. Folie A Deux has been on the go for a while but is holding his form reasonably well and could be suited by the drop back to 2m. Carrig An Uisce, however, looks harshly treated on his belated debut over the larger obstacles and more interesting is Earl Grez, though he's 3lb higher than when only third at Catterick earlier in the month.
