Verdict

CRESSWELL LEGEND failed in a bid for a four-timer when second at Musselburgh but was beaten only a couple of lengths. He’s worth another chance returning from a lay-off. Salmanazar ran well for third at Ascot last month and Wayne Hutchinson prefers him to stablemate Beneagles, though the latter still has a shout off his current mark. Frankly Speaking went close at Uttoxeter last time but is raised in class for this while Forthefunofit completed a double before struggling in a Grade 3 hurdle at Aintree but has been off the track for over a year. Western Climate can race off a lower mark back over the smaller obstacles today.
