Verdict

DORY (NAP) had twice been a beaten favourite before getting off the mark in a maiden at Uttoxeter. Whether he would have won had the unfortunate Lion Rouge not fallen will always be a matter for debate but the pair were in the process of pulling well clear of their rivals and opening mark of 110 in handicaps is not insurmountable. Westerbee needs softer going and was only third off this mark at Fontwell in June while Massini's Dream keeps finding one too good. Kristal Hart was a 33/1 chance when a fortunate winner at Stratford but Milan Of Crystal and Scented Lily have each-way claims.
