Verdict

Having finished well behind Fortification on his reappearance at Exeter, Honourable Arthur returned to winning ways at Wincanton when just getting the better of Lavenoak Lad. The runner-up, winner of this in 2010, is fractionally better off at the weights here, however, and the quicker ground could also be a problem for Victor Dartnall's stayer. Trigger The Light usually runs well here but never got competitive over C&D last time and finished just behind Cerium. Kaybeew turned in a shocker at Newbury last time but Huntingdon winner Clash Duff could improve further for the step up in trip and Pacco is easing towards a decent mark. LEADING CONTENDER has always had plenty of ability but only shows it on occasions. He is due another good run and would probably win this if in the mood.
