Coursing Run has a lengthy absence to defy but he is taken to overcome it and take this open Hunter Chase, with Tom's Prize and Martin Ossie looking the chief dangers. Henry Daly has a good record with his chasers at the track (22% strike-rate) and his 11-year-old gelding could be too good today if reproducing the form of his last run when winning a class three contest at Warwick. He will love today's testing conditions and if fit enough he could be hard to peg back from the front. Martin Ossie has been in decent form between the flags recently, however he was pulled up when last seen on a regulation course and so cannot be fancied today on ground that he is yet to prove himself on. Tom's Prize was useful when he was with John Spearing, and put in a good performance in a recent point outing. He has claims, as does Tribal Run. He is very much at home with trip and ground conditions and should go well. Young Thruster should have come on from his recent outing between the flags and has place claims, however we will stick with Henry Daly's Coursing Run to lead them home.
