In depth

Verdict

Academy ended a long losing sequence when finishing strongly to land a 1m5f Catterick handicap last month and was then far from disgraced when a close third over 2m1f at Pontefract last time. Andrew Turnell's charge looks sure to be even better over this longer trip and should make another bold bid. Our Monogram finished half a length in front of Academy at Pontefract and there is nothing between them at the revised weights while Galleon Beach is dropping down the handicap and also enters calculations.
