Verdict
Rowdy Yeats showed improved form over this trip at Kempton last time and the unexposed Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained gelding has to be respected off his low weight but more solid claims are held at the other end of the handicap by Haunted House with Mr Bigglesworth rated the main danger. The selection has been beaten off his current mark in his last two starts but they were in arguably better races than this and on more testing ground so on today's surface Haunted House looks worth another chance. Syroco has struggled against the handicapper in two starts since winning here in October and he may now be booked for a place at best. Jupon Vert is capable but has a poor strike rate and he too may need some help from the handicapper having been raised for his win at Folkestone in January. Mr Bigglesworth came back to form when narrowly beaten at Ludlow last time but a 3lb rise for that run leaves him with more to do here and preference is for the consistent Haunted House, who is taken to give weight away all round.
