    Verdict

Simply Loveleh has questions to answer now having pulled up the last twice but Martila, placed twice around the turn of the year, probably ran better than expected on her reappearance at Carlisle and will strip fitter today. Nikap wasn’t disgraced at Ffos Las, despite taking a fierce hold, and Shambra has scope while the lightly-raced Penny Mallow should make a chaser. But the latter will need to be useful to give weight to ARIAN (NAP) as the eight-year-old appears to have improved for a switch to Philip Hobbs’ yard and was always travelling strongly when getting off the mark at Newton Abbot last month.
