    Verdict

    Peveril landed the odds on his chasing debut at Folkestone and undoubtedly has more to offer. In receipt of 3lb, Nicky Henderson's charge could make a race of it with WAYWARD PRINCE though Ian Williams' seven-year-old still gets the vote. Never out of the first two over hurdles and successful in a Grade 1 novice event over timber at Aintree last year, the Alflora gelding has won both starts over the larger obstacles with a bit to spare and looks a live candidate for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham in March. Shalimar Fromentro showed staying was his game when a fast-finishing second to Wymott at Exeter and won't be far away with a hefty weight-for-age allowance.
