The Boss looked a progressive sort prior to pulling up when favourite at Taunton earlier this month and could be worth another chance dropped back in distance. Deputy Dog has shown enough in runs at Fakenham and Huntingdon to suggest he won't be far away on his handicap debut, while Empire Builder was a fair third off a higher mark at Huntingdon last month. De Welsh Wizzard hinted at a return to form at Hereford last time but something was clearly amiss with THE LAODICEAN at Kempton last month. An earlier fourth at Doncaster reads well and he might be worth an interest here at a decent price.
