RONS DREAM had no easy task when pulled up in a Listed event on her chasing bow. She reverts to hurdling today and has every chance on these terms given she finished in front of last year’s runner-up Jessber's Dream at Kempton in November when second to Surtee Du Berlais. Peter Bowen’s mare takes on the latter again on 7lb better terms and is fancied to reverse running in this. Surtee Du Berlais has since run below par in the Grade 1 Long Walk at Ascot while Whizzzey Rascal and Dolores Delightful have only been competing in handicaps and will find this tougher.
Jessber's Dream (IRE) 9-2 (11-4) Led 1st until next, prominent, every chance on last bend, no extra flat, 4th of 13, 11 1/4l behind Briery Queen (10-11) at Cheltenham 2m 4f hcp (2) sft in Dec.
Surtee Du Berlais (IRE) 66-1 (11-0) Behind, last and struggling after 8th, tailed off, 9th of 11, dist behind Unowhatimeanharry (11-7) at Ascot 3m (1) gs in Dec.
Rons Dream 6-1 (11-0) Not fluent, chased front pair until 8th, weakened before 11th, pulled up after, at Warwick 2m 4f lst (1) sft in Dec.
Dolores Delightful (FR) 7-2 (11-10) Took keen hold, held up, steady headway tracking leaders 9th, pushed along in modest 4th after 3 out, no headway after, 4th of 8, 9 1/4l behind Nordic Nymph (10-9) at Kempton 3m hcp (2) gd in Dec.
Whizzzey Rascal (IRE) 11-8 (12-2) Tracked clear leader, closer 3rd, led before 2 out, in command last, ridden clear run-in, won at Bangor 2m 1f hcp (4) sft in Jan beating Litterale Ci (10-11) by 3l, 4 ran.
