Verdict

Sir Will gained a hard-fought victory in a Uttoxeter maiden and looks high enough in the weights, though his rider's claim will help. Dual bumper winner Just A Thought makes her handicap debut over timber though has been looking one-paced but Flashback has been showing much-improved form since getting a test of stamina, though a 10lb rise looks harsh for dead-heating at Ludlow. The latter beat Definately Vinnie eight lengths over this track and trip earlier but the runner-up is 16lb better off and must have a chance of turning the tables. MINELLA GATHERING is in good form on this sort of ground, stays the trip well and arrives on a lowly mark so gets the vote in a tight handicap in which Triopas, who completed a hat-trick in December, can also go well after a fair run over fences at Wincanton.
