Anton Dolin did his winning over slightly longer trips last year and both of Saint Helena's victories came over 1m4f. The less exposed REFRACTOR scored over the same distance at Kempton in January but had gone very close over 1m2f when runner-up to the unbeaten Camborne before that and James Fanshawe's charge has scope for further progress. Landaman has a bit to prove off his current mark and finished behind sixth placed McBirney at Nottingham in October but the returning duo Danehill Dante and Miss Aix have solid claims in a wide-open contest on the best of their efforts last season.
