After scoring over this trip at Leicester, Open Day looked in need of an even greater test of stamina when runner-up at Cheltenham but that was still a fine effort and he must be on the short-list racing off the same mark. Three White Socks looks high enough in the weights on what he's achieved but Extremely So arrives in very good form having scored easily in heavy ground at Taunton. FLAMING CHARMER hadn't shown much before landing a novices' handicap here last month but, though 7lb higher, can make further progress and complete the double. Waterunder has been disappointing since scoring at Wincanton a year ago but shouldn't be dismissed just yet and Tealissio won a novice hurdle here in November though hasn't quite matched that form subsequently.
