In depth

Verdict

Potters Hedger found the concession of 10lb to Jully Les Buxy in a Lingfield handicap just beyond him but it was a very good effort and he's been left on the same mark. Some Detail, a winning bumper, makes his handicap debut after a close third in a Chepstow maiden and looks a bit high though his rider's claim will help. Buster Edwards improved dramatically in first-time blinkers to gain a shock victory at Hereford but proved it was no fluke when coming with a sustained late run to snatch the spoils over slightly shorter than this at Haydock for which he's only 3lb higher. MR LOVE never won in ten starts over fences but is now on a four-timer over timber. His victories on this sort of ground at Huntingdon and Southwell were gained in impressive style and though 8lb higher will take some beating. Urtheonethatiwant completed a double when scoring comfortably over the track and trip on New Year's Eve and an 8lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run.
