Verdict

CARD GAME found life too hot when upped to Class 2 company at Haydock on her penultimate start but has otherwise looked an improved performer this term, most recently when comfortably outpointing serial winner Beyondtemptation at Sedgefield. There is a slight concern about her effectiveness on quicker ground, which does temper confidence somewhat, but her overall profile makes her hard to oppose despite joint top weight. Nesterenko appears the main threat as the Doyen gelding is effective on good ground and drops in grade here after a respectable effort in a competitive handicap hurdle at the Grand National meeting. Go Odee Go is a possible improver off a fair mark whilst recent Cheltenham winner Minellaforleisure is also one to keep on the right side.
